A well-deserved brake
After 150 concerts and close to 250 days on the road Aurora is taking a well deserved holiday in Drange.
A lot of people have asked to talk to Aurora during the last few weeks but these two weeks are sacred. Aurora is tired after a very hectic tour and a lot of travelling and is well deserving of the rest she's getting with her family in Drange, says Per Mykland, the leader of Aurora's management.
On several occasions this autumn Os og Fusaposten have tried to get an interview with the world star from Os. Unfortunately we have not been successful but Mygland is more than willing to say a few words about the 20-year-old's hectic year.
In good spirits
Not only has she travelled and experienced a lot. A short while ago she even had to undergo surgery for appendicitis.
- That was very unfortunate, of course. It was during her US tour that Aurora suddenly experienced stomack pains. After a brief medical consultation she was rushed to the hospital where she was operated on immediately. She had to cancel her three remaining shows in the US and a concert in Halden in Norway.
She was very tired after the operation, but is now in good spirits.
- She's very tired after an extraordinarly hectic year but she's a tough girl and is recovering well, says Mygland.
Looking forward to write
Her manager says it costs a lot to promote an album all across the world. The price is being constantly on the move.
- Aurora loves to do concerts, but over the last year she's missed what she likes the best; writing new songs and to be creative.
- And she'll do that now?
- Yes, although in January she'll finish the promotion of «All My Demons Greeting Me As A Friend». She'll travel to Singapore and Australia, but after that she'll be given time to be creative. She's looking forward to that a lot. Writing is not really a job for her. For her it's a hobby and having time off, Mygland chuckles.
- And then she'll start working on the follow-up album?
- Yes, but that's priority number two. Maybe we'll release a single or an EP. When the next album will be released is too early to say, says Mygland.
New job in Bergen
Her management says there will be fewer concerts next year. But of course there will be a few. One of them will be in Bergen.
Saturday 17 June Aurora will be on stage at Plenen in Bergenhus fortress. The girl from Os will play the same day as Olav Nilsen og Nordsjøen and a not unknown gentleman from the UK by the name of Bryan Ferry.
