Halfway through her Brazilian tour week, Aurora appears on Globo Group's G1 website with a brief article/interview. The piece features archive photographs, the videos for both 'Runaway' and 'Running With the Wolves', together with dates and ticketing details for the remaining three shows.

Meet the eccentric 21-year-old singer who plays shows this Friday (20) and Saturday (21) in SP and Sunday (22) in Rio.
"Finally, new music that makes my heart flutter. Aurora, 'Runaway' ". This excited Twitter message from Katy Perry was one of the prompts for the 21 year old Norwegian Aurora Aksnes' career. She sings in São Paulo, on Friday (20) and Saturday (21) and in Rio on Sunday (22).
It is even more impressive to know that such music praised by Katy Perry was written by Aurora while she was still in high school. Other songs are even older, written at only 9 or 13 years of age. Both in her videos and in the words of her G1 interview, the young artist does not seem to be so young. Her first track, "Puppet" was released in 2012, at age 16. Since then she has released tracks such as "Runaway" and "Running with the Wolves" that have been viewed over 120 million times on her official YouTube channel. Here is the interview which Aurora gave to G1:
G1 - I saw some videos of your shows, and they are not very conventional ...
Aurora - The show is energetic and emotional. I move a lot, I dance a lot. I like to feel free. I hope people there also enjoy it. Dance, laugh, cry. That's what music does.
G1 - Where did these movements that you do on stage come from?
Aurora - At the beginning of my shows, I just played the piano and sang. I think I did five gigs in the year 2013. And then there was a big festival in Norway in 2014. And my manager said, "You have to have a band and sing without the piano, stand up." I remember closing my eyes and not knowing what was happening. I realized afterwards that I was stirring my hands a lot. It was not something I thought of. I think it's because I have a small body. I moved my body to show my energy. I need to use everything I have to try to explain this to people. It's like an ocean inside me. I cannot control my hands.
G1 - Is it true that you wrote "Runaway" in the 9th year of school? What was it like doing that and still studying?
Aurora - I do not think I liked school. It was hard to sit for so long. As for the music, it seems like I did not know what I was writing about at the time. Now I understand more. It was the little Aurora writing to the older Aurora on my journey.
G1 - And you'd written something before?
Aurora - "Lucky" I started at age 9 and finished up to 12. "Running with the Wolves" I started when 13.
G1 - Did your school friends know?
Aurora: No, I think they found out a lot later. I did not have the need for anyone to know. It was enough for me to write songs and know that the songs were there, like my babies. If something bad happened, I could put it in a song and my body would forget, and I could move on without having to carry it and think about it all the time. And it comforted me.
G1 - But now that everyone knows you sing, you do not seem to be afraid to do very different things like your videos.
Aurora - I care a lot about the look of my songs. I think a clip can change a song. They take my songs to a magical world.
G1 - I saw that you posted on Twitter the other day a photo of a spaceship, saying that you could be walking in it.
Aurora - I think that if I ever had a vehicle, it would be a spaceship. I'm very passionate about space. I think we've all come from a different planet. I would like to be an ET, but at the same time my feet are very planted on Earth.
G1 - Returning to Earth then, how did you receive compliments from Katy Perry? Did you meet later?
Aurora - I met her a few times, once at the Grammys, and she's a great woman, she was really nice to me. Very quiet and positive. She is sincere and confident in who she is. It was nice to see that.
G1 - The restricted area for fans of your site is called 'Warriors and Weirdos'. Because?
Aurora - I think it's cool that my fans are themselves. I want "weird" to be seen as a positive thing, not a motive to make fun of others. We see this as kind. And the warrior is even better, because we all have to be strong human beings, to face difficult situations one time or another.
