Six questions we ask everybody with… Aurora
We’ve had another natter with another new popstar to get you up to speed on why the bloody hell we love them so much. Today we’ve only gone and got voice of the John Lewis Christmas advert and all round pop angel Aurora on the blower, haven’t we?
Well Nikki, let us fill you in…
1. Tell us why we should listen to you in 140 characters or less…
People should always listen to music that speaks to them. My music will not fit everyone. I write from my heart, and some hearts will understand it.
2. If you had to compare the sound of your music to a crisp flavour, which would you pick and how do they relate?
Well… I think my music will taste a bit like green tea, or maybe a mint chocolate that melts on your tongue.
3. What was the first single you ever bought and has it inspired the music you release today?
I think the first single I bought (after buying many many albums) was ‘It’s Alright Ma (I’m Only Bleeding)’ by Bob Dylan. One of my favourite lyrics of all time. It will never cease to inspire me.
4. Picture the scene… You have found a time machine and been sent back to the year 1996. You have been selected to become the sixth member of a band known as the Spice Girls. What would your nickname be?
I would never join the Spice Girls, but if my sister’s life depended on it I guess my nickname would be Spongebob Squarepants Spice. Or actually most likely Little Bird Spice.
5. If you were given a pet cat and told you had to name it after an existing popstar, what would you name it?
Bowie, no doubt.
6. Can you tell us that you love us?
